We believe we are called to walk the way of compassion in the footsteps of Jesus, and to reach out especially to the hurting and to the least of these.
To do so we work with the following mission partners:
The Freeport Area Church Cooperative is a not-for-profit organization with the mission to provide emergency food, clothing, and shelter to those in need in northwest Illinois and to empower those they serve.

- Project U Turn for ex offenders and much more
We at St John contribute to the ministry of FACC through financial gifts, emergency assistance, food and clothing, Christmas gifts and more.

M.A.D. Men of Freeport, (Making a Difference), is kind of a grass roots organization to take on projects to beautify the city and help others. The group thinks of it as paying it forward as they meet every Thursday morning to discusses projects. As a bunch of volunteers they take on group projects on homes and businesses that need some help. They have been working to spruce up Wilbur Park as they have added mulch, painted, spray washed, replaced boards on broken benches and then stained them, pulled weeds, and trimmed trees and more.
