What We Believe

At St. John UCC, we believe that each person is created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We strive to follow Christ’s greatest commandments: to love God and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:29-31). As a result of these simple beliefs, and because we live in a society that often does not reflect these beliefs, we are committed to work within and outside of our congregation in service of the rights and wellbeing all people.
