We believe in justice for immigrants and refugees. While anti-immigrant sentiment is not new to our country, it continues as a powerful force that threatens the lives and welfare of many. Scripture explicitly calls us to welcome immigrants (Leviticus 19:33-34), and that Jesus himself lived as a refugee in Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15) We affirm the rights of all people, regardless of their immigration status or nation of origin, to live in safety and peace. We are committed to protecting and supporting the immigrants among us and to advocacy for their rights.
